Dear Friends and Family from the School of Rock,
Unfortunately I will not be able to direct the Jazz Summer Show and the Summer Camps. If you saw the headline on the landing page you may know why.
Many of you know that I’ve always wanted to own and operate my own school. I’m very excited to tell you that the opportunity has finally presented itself and I thank the folks at Rock Underground and my business partners for their faith and support.
I very much enjoyed my tenure at SOR and thank all of the folks—you know who you are—for their trust and encouragement.
At your service,
~~Ed

Dear All,
Yesterday (May 9), we had our first get-together of the season. It was only an hour; however, it was enough to assess the playing, reading, and musicianship levels of the students that are participating in the show. We played through “Chameleon,” “Watermelon Man” and “Jazz ’n’ Samba.” Everybody played one or more tunes and most did fairly well. For those of you who have questions and cannot get a hold of me then please contact Jay Goodman (SOR Instructor and Asst. Director) and I’m sure that he can help you.
As dates become firmed up I’ll post them here and on the FaceBook page.
Here’s the roster so far—and, if your name is not on the list then please contact me ASAP:
Also, please let me know if you decide to NOT participate in the Summer Jazz Show.
Thanks,
Ed L.
